ChildCentre is a program designed to control the amount of time a child spends playing on a PC in as automatic a way as possible. Although the adult isn?t close to the child to watch over them, ChildCentre will control the time they play, and automatically close the corresponding application when the time limit expires. When this happens, ChildCentre won?t let these applications be opened for the rest of the day.The child can only run their programs from ChildCentre. Previously, an adult must indicate the list of permitted programs to ChildCentre, and the time allowed. The child can only use the program for this time, not one second more. The program emits a sound when 10 and then 5 minutes are remaining. If the child doesn?t close the application manually before time runs out, ChildCentre will do it automatically.Of course the remaining time can be seen at all times in the ChildCentre panel, numerically and graphically. The time only counts down when a game is being played. The ChildCentre program only allows one application at a time open within it, so that if a child wants to open a second application, they must first close down the previous one.
