DVB-TV is a small but useful program that allows you to watch TV on your computer. You can watch satellite TV and cable TV channels, or just connect the output of your TV on the DVB card.

DVB-TV is a small but useful program that allows you to watch TV on your computer. You can watch satellite TV and cable TV channels, or just connect the output of your TV on the DVB card. DVB-TV works with all the TechnoTrend PCline Premium family cards and it is compatible with DVB cards (WinTV Nova, Pinnacle PCTV sat, and TechniSat Skystar are not supported). DVB-TV doesn't include an installer program. You have to unzip the downloadable file and the program will be ready for use. Within the DVB-TV main window you can see the Video window and a channel list, including favorite channels, remote control, and volume controls. The program includes a quick scan tool that allows you to search for channels. You have three search options: You can search for satellite channels, but the program includes a predefined list of satellites at 32 different orbital positions which makes the searching process easier. The list includes the satellites transponder characteristics: Frequency, Polarity, Symbol Rate and FEC. Besides, you can search via OSD - It is recommended to disable all debugging options to speed up the scan. And you can search via the GUI for scanning terrestrial and cable but you need to set the QAM and Symbol Rate parameters. You can retrieve EPG information, but it depends on channel's availability. Finally, the program includes a scheduler window that allows you to record and zap channel programs.
