GiliSoft USB Stick Encryption is a flash drive encryption tool. It can create a password-protected area on your flash memory stick to prevent unauthorized use of it. So, when you process a USB flash drive with this tool, you will have a secure area, which is protected by a password, and a public area, which anyone can see. Using the application is really easy. The first time that you run it, with a flash memory plugged in, you can simply set a slider to tell the app how much space you want to dedicate to the secure area and how much to the public area. Then, simply click on "Install" and the process will be done in a few seconds. This app erases the contents of your flash drives, so it is a good idea to back up. GiliSoft USB Stick Encryption installs a file named agent.exe onto your flash drives. That is the file that you have to open to gain access to the secure area. After the correct username and password combination is typed in, the agent will create a virtual drive with the letter X: and you can use that as a separate drive to move sensitive data to. The agent goes to the system tray from where you can either lock the secure area or browse it. I was unable to lock the secure area, or, in other words, hide it. The application said the drive was in use. It wasn't by me, that is for sure. And I tried on two systems. Removing the drive worked to cut the connection and hide the secure area. But that is not the best solution.
